Independent living is all about enjoying retirement at its finest! You may freely live the lifestyle that you've always dreamed of, the selection of amenities and services are available for your choosing.
We also offer lovely and spacious common areas to relax and entertain family or guests. At The Southerlands, you can enjoy an array of social activities and outings within resident program services.
At The Southerlands, you may use your own car or comfortably travel in our complimentary shuttle to appointments, errands, and local and regional events. Living independently, you may cook in your apartment but most residents come together for the evening meal in our formal dining room or have lunch in The Southerlands Café. Our menus are carefully selected by a registered dietician and cooked homemade to suit your taste.
We have 24-hour clinical services available. Each room includes emergency pull cords located in the bathroom, bedroom and hallway for your safety. Independent living gives you the freedom of choice but yet the ability to transition in a continuing-care setting, if needed.
